FAQ’s for Serenity Day Camp 2025 – Under the Sea!

Camp Fees

Camper $100  PA $50

Each Full Time 5 day Volunteer receives one free registration.

TOSU Camper Priority Registration Period ENDS April 13.
This means only TOSU Campers may register during this time.  Opens to all other SUs on April 14, as space is available.  This means that ONLY Campers registered in the TOSU will be accepted.  We cannot control who registers, but we will be checking and removing any camper not registered in TOSU until April 13th.  
PA registration is open to ALL Service Units as they are not limited, thus the priority period does not apply to PAs.  PAs will need to have passed a Council-led PA training.  Keep an eye on the GSCCC calendar of events for PA Trainings.
GSCCC Registration needed

If you need to register your camper/PA with the GSCCC, you will have the opportunity to add this to your registration.  Two choices for this -$25 will cover through the end of this GS year 9/30/24.  $35 to cover through the end of the next GS year 9/30/25 (this will cover both this camp and camp next year)

Space is limited

100 Campers, 50 PAs   Once a maximum is reached a Waitlist will be started.

Camper Friend Request

Each camper may request ONE friend to be in her group.  Both campers must request each other for the request to be honored.  Check with the other parents asap to arrange friend pairs.  Please DO NOT list every girl in the troop, or any girl in troop # xxxxx. When possible we try to make sure there is at least one other girl from her troop.  In the case of only 3 girls from a troop, they will all be together.  We intentionally do not place large groups, whole troops, together in order to encourage the building of friendships.

Volunteers are always needed and greatly appreciated
Full time 5 days – Be with us from 8:45- 3:00 all 5 days – Earn a Free Camper or PA Registration, Volunteer T-Shirt, and lunch will be provided each day.  
GSUSA, GSCCC and CA state mandates, all full-time volunteers to be registered with GSCCC, current Live scan and Background check, and have completed the Mandated Reporter Training
Part-Time – We will have morning and afternoon shifts each day for you to choose from. Approximate times are 8:45-12:30 and 12:15-3:00.  
GSUSA, GSCCC, and CA state mandate all Part-time volunteers to be registered with GSCCC and have a current Background check on file.

Authorized Pick Ups
This is any adult you are giving us authorization to release your child to,  We understand that it may be your intention to be there on time everyday but emergencies happen, so please list at least one other person who you would call in such an emergency to pick up your child, neighbor, grandparent, other troop leader.  If there is a probability of girls wanting a play date after camp, please list the parents that may host and pick up.  
CampDoc will be available through the end of the week for you to make updates to this list as the week goes on as play dates are made. PLEASE update as needed.  If you are not able to update, we will require a written permission with girl name, other parent name and phone number, and your name and signature authorizing us to release your child to this person.
These names are checked every day.  
Camper / PA T-Shirts
We are offering the opportunity to purchase additional Camp T-shirts for $10 each.  One T-shirt is provided for each Camper and PA.
We are also offering Part Time Volunteers the opportunity to purchase a Camp Volunteer T-Shirt for $10.
